I am a 51 year old divorced male with no children in the USA. I had already been scammed before. Shortly after that I was contacted through Yahoo!Personals again on May 10, 2004 this time by an Olga also 26 years old from Yashkar-Ola, Russia. This time I knew immediately what I was dealing with and played along using a different name (John), and e-mail address in my correspondence. I have not seen this name or pictures listed on any other blacklist site. Once she started the correspondence she went by the name Olya in her letters. This scam was poorly done compared to the first one I dealt with. In fact it was quite inept. I experimented with my letters to see just how blatant the non responsiveness would be to questions, etc it was pretty bad.
When I started to point out the extreme unlikelihood of her getting a visa to the United States and that I therefore would need to come visit her, I was completely ignored and she just continued to ask for the money like nothing had changed.
